Visiting Pearl Harbor can be an all-day or even multi-day commitment, so thankfully there are a good number of restaurants near Pearl Harbor for just this reason. The sites are spread out, you have to park your car for the day (or risk losing your spot), and this active military base is not exactly in the most convenient location within Oahu.
Save yourself the time and frustration of hunting down your next meal and save this list of restaurants near Pearl Harbor. This post contains all the places to eat near Pearl Harbor that are either located in the memorials and museums or that you can easily walk to from them. I’ll also go over a few helpful tips for eating while visiting Pearl Harbor.

Here are all the cafés, concessions stands, and restaurants near Pearl Harbor to find food and drinks during your visit:
1. Restaurant 604
Restaurant 604 is a large full-serve restaurant just outside the parking area at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. In fact, it’s the only real restaurant near Pearl Harbor (that you can walk to from the historical sites).
It’s located right on the water at the Rainbow Bay Marina and has both indoor and outdoor dining. They serve brunch, lunch, dinner, and have a full bar.
What to expect at Restaurant 604
Food offerings include:
- Appetizers, soups, and salads
- Sandwiches like burgers, clubs, and Cubans
- Hawaiian plate lunches like Kalua pork and chicken katsu
- Pasta dishes like seafood alfredo
- Fish dishes like ahi and mahi, and fish tacos
- Loco moco, of course
- and deserts
Bar: They also have a full bar with 14 beers on tap (even more in bottles), wine, and a long list of cocktails and frozen drinks. They also have tons of drink specials throughout the week and claim to have “Hawaii’s Best Bloody Mary.” Of course, they also have non-alcoholic bevs, soft drinks, and even mocktails.
Restaurant 604 also serves kids meals for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
My experience: On my visit in August 2023, I had a delightful lunch here in between visits to the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum and the USS Arizona Memorial. I ordered fish & chips and, though I’m mostly a beer drinker, I couldn’t pass up the chance to order something truly Hawaiian that I’d never had before—an “Ube Colada.” And it was fantastic!
Parking: Restaurant 604 is just a 1- or 2-minute walk from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center parking lot so there’s no need to park here first then move your car. Otherwise, they do have their own (free) parking lot out front.
Reservations: Reservations aren’t required but are recommended as it gets very busy. (When I arrived there was a 30-45 minute wait for a table, but I managed to find one empty seat at the bar so I didn’t have to wait. But I’m just one person.) You can make reservations by calling or using their online waitlist.

2. Visitor Center Snack Shop
Inside the entrance to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center (and to the left) you’ll find a small “snack shop.” This is probably the most basic of all the places to eat near Pearl Harbor.
Here you’ll be able to purchase things like sandwiches, cookies, drinks, and other packaged snacks. It doesn’t have the best selection but you will be able to find something here to hold you over until your next real meal.
Visitor Center Snack Shop essential information:

3. Jake’s Food Truck at the Bowfin Museum
If you’re looking for restaurants near Pearl Harbor that serve something a little more substantial (and maybe actually hot) near the Visitor Center, your next closest option is Jake’s Food Truck at the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum.
Jake’s Food Truck is located within the boundaries of the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum, so only museum visitors can eat here. (But I highly recommend checking out this museum anyway!)
Jake’s doesn’t have their menu available online, but it’s small enough that I’ll just type the whole thing out here. Here’s what you can order at Jake’s Food Truck: (as of August 2023)
- Bowfin Burger (standard cheeseburger) – $15.95
- Mac Attack Burger (burger with mac n cheese on it) – $16.95
- Fleet of (chicken) tenders – $13.95
- Garlic fries – $8.95
- Hawaiian pulled pork tacos (3) – $14.95
- Hawaiian pulled pork nachos – $15.49
- Garlic shrimp plate – $18.95
- Luau plate (kalua pulled pork, garlic shrimp, rice, salmon) – $20.95
Also check out: Here are all the Pearl Harbor ticket costs + a bunch of ways to save
I didn’t eat here myself, but many of the reviews mention how great the garlic fries are! There is also plenty of outdoor (but covered) seating. They also have a few cold drink vending machines in the area or you can pick something up from the Visitor Center Snack Shop.

4. Sliders Grill at Battleship Missouri
On the dock outside the Battleship Missouri you’ll find Slider’s Grill. Since it’s not on the battleship itself, admission is not required to eat here so anyone can visit.
Sliders Grill is another of the restaurants near Pearl Harbor serving things like:
- Chicken tenders
- Burgers, hot dogs, and other sandwiches
- Chicken/shrimp/fish salads
- Hawaiian plate lunches like garlic shrimp, loco moco, fish & chips, and more
- Sides like fries, rice, and chips
- and even breakfast items like omelets and pancakes
What they don’t sell, oddly enough, are sliders. Beats me! For drinks they sell fountain soft drinks, tea, and a bunch of coffee options so you can make it through your long day of historical sightseeing. There’s plenty of shady, covered seating inside the “Pearl Canteen” Quonset hut next door. (And outside in the sun if you prefer.)
Sliders Grill essential information:
- Address: 63 Cowpens Street, Honolulu
- Phone: 808-455-1600
- Hours: Daily from 10:30am – 2:00pm
- Closed: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day

5. Wai Momi Shave Ice at Battleship Missouri
Also at the Battleship Missouri (in the same area as Sliders Grill) is Wai Momi Shave Ice. They sell shave ice, obviously, but also pizza, hot dogs, chips, and churros. For drinks, you can get refillable fountain sodas as well as bottled soft drinks, coffee, energy drinks, or a root beer float. This is another of the places to eat near Pearl Harbor where museum admission is not required.
Pearl Harbor was known as Wai Momi to native Hawaiians.
Wai Momi essential information:
- Address: 63 Cowpens Street, Honolulu
- Phone: 808-455-1600

6. The Battleshop at Battleship Missouri
The gift shop at the Battleship Missouri (referred to as the Battleshop) also sells drinks and snacks. You can get bottled water, sodas, and other drinks as well as gourmet ice creams and sorbets.
This shop is also pier-side so museum admission is not required to visit. Open daily from 8:00am – 4:00pm.
7. Hangar Café at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum
Another option for places to eat near Pearl Harbor over on the Ford Island side is the Hangar Café at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. This is another restaurant that’s open to the public and museum admission is not required to eat here.
Unlike the others, the Hangar Café is a sit-down restaurant that’s completely indoors (ahem, air conditioned). It features an “eclectic” menu of “classic, all-American meals” (including vegetarian-friendly items). Things like:
- Burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches
- Kalua pork wraps
- Meat & rice bowls
- Cobb salads (with 5 types of protein available)
- and more
They also serve kids meals, sweet treats, beer and wine, as well at fountain drinks, juices, tea, coffee, and other non-alcoholic beverages. Yes, this is the only one of the restaurants near Pearl Harbor (within the historic sites) that sells alcohol. Maybe this doesn’t matter to you… or maybe this is just what you’ve been waiting for all damn day. So here you go!
The Hangar Café even offers online ordering (so you can skip the line) and discounts for active duty military and DOD employees (proof of ID required).
The Hangar Café used to be called the Laniakea Café until it was renamed in October 2022. (So you may still see references to that here and there. Same thing.)
Hangar Café essential information:
- Address: 319 Lexington Blvd, Honolulu
- Phone: 808-441-1000
- Hours:11:00am – 4:00pm (grill closes at 3:00pm)

More restaurants near Pearl Harbor (if you have military access)
In addition to the places to eat near Pearl Harbor that anyone can visit, there are a couple more options for those of you with military access. The following are located on Ford Island within the military base. I repeat: you need military access to eat at these restaurants near Pearl Harbor.
8. Ford Island Bistro
Ford Island Bistro is a sit-down restaurant on Ford Island at the NOAA (and if you don’t know what that means then you definitely can’t eat here). They serve breakfast and lunch with both indoor and outdoor seating. You can order things like:
- Breakfast plates, pancakes, burritos, loco moco, and muffins to-go
- Burgers and sandwiches
- Kebabs, gyros, and rice bowls
- and more
For drinks you can get tea and coffee drinks, frappés and smoothies, energy drinks, and sodas. They have lunch specials every day and you can also order online from their website.

- Phone: 808-490-3447
- Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am-2:00pm

- Parking: I don’t have military access so I don’t know how parking works on a military base, but if you’re looking to eat here, I’m willing to bet you already do.
- Average cost: $10-14 for breakfast plates / $11-15 for lunch plates / $12-18 for burgers
- Reservations: Not required
- Website: fordislandbistro.com
- Menu here
9. Subway at the Mini Mart
Also on Ford Island is a Subway sandwich shop. This restaurant near Pearl Harbor is located inside the Mini Mart at the Ford Island Naval Station (so yes, you need military access to eat here). I don’t think I need to tell you what a Subway is, but if so…
This is where you go for sub sandwiches—all different kinds from their menu or design your own. They also sell wrap, no-bread bowls, salads, breakfast options, and chips, cookies, and soft drinks. Tour a sub then eat a sub, sounds perfect to me!
Subway at the Naval Station essential information:
- Address: Mini Mart, Building 75, Honolulu

- Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:00am-3:00pm / Friday 7:00am-2:00pm

Helpful Pearl Harbor food and drink tips
Here are a few things you need to know about eating and drink during your visit to the Pearl Harbor historic sites as well as some helpful tips:
Vegetarian/Vegan options at restaurants near Pearl Harbor
At the Pearl Harbor-area restaurants listed above, below is a summary of their (limited) vegetarian/vegan options. In addition to the ones mentioned below, there are several other dishes that can be made vegetarian with a little wiggling. (But you know how it is.) Be sure to ask about your options when you get there.
- Restaurant 604 – Salads, sides, meat-free pasta dish, French toast/pancakes, desserts, veggie eggs benedict
- Visitor Center Snack Shop – Snacks
- Jake’s Food Truck – Garlic fries
- Sliders Grill – Salads, veggie burger, pancakes
- Wai Momi – Shave ice, pizza, chips, churros, fresh-cut pineapple
- Battleshop – Snacks
- Hangar Café – Plant-based burger, cobb salad (if you pass on the protein)
- Ford Island Bistro – Pancakes, veggie/tofu lunch plate, sides
- Subway – Salads, veggie sandwich
Gluten-free options at restaurants near Pearl Harbor
Many of the places to eat near Pearl Harbor also have gluten-free options on their menus. Many of the items can also be made gluten-free with a little bit of creativity. Be sure to ask about your options when you arrive.
Where to get alcohol near Pearl Harbor
Of the 9 restaurants near Pearl Harbor (that you can walk to), there are only two places where you can purchase alcohol:
- Restaurant 604 – Full bar, beer, wine, frozen drinks, cocktails, etc.
- Hangar Café – beer and wine
Bring your own water bottle
The National Park Service (and other sites) doesn’t allow you to bring bags, but all allow you to bring your own water bottle. (Thankfully too, because it is HOT out there.)
Cut down on spending money at the Pearl Harbor restaurants and shops by bringing your own refillable water bottle. (I use this insulated steel one and I love it!) All the Pearl Harbor museums and memorial sites have water fountains where you can refill your bottle for free.
Add some electrolytes
And because it’s so hot out there, consider adding some extra electrolytes to your water to speed up your rehydration. I use Liquid IV all the time when I travel so help stay hydrated on hot busy days like these. (My favorite flavor is açai berry.)
Save the cash you’d otherwise spend on Powerade throughout the day and stick one of these packets in your pocket. Add it to your water while you’re out exploring. Plus, it’s flavored in case you get sick of chugging plain water.
Bring your own snacks and drinks
The National Park Service doesn’t allow bags, but it does allow you to bring your own snacks and (non-alcoholic) drinks with you to Pearl Harbor. (Packing them in something clear like a Ziplock bag should be just fine.)
However, while you can bring whatever snacks and (non-alcoholic) drinks you want, keep in mind that the NPS prohibits anything other than water here:
- Inside the museums
- Inside the theater
- On the U.S. Navy shuttle boat
- On the USS Arizona Memorial
Within the Visitor Center and the other outdoor areas you can drink whatever you want. Eating is prohibited on the Battleship Missouri, though you can bring drinks in a closeable bottle only.
Plan your meals
There aren’t exactly a ton of restaurants near Pearl Harbor, and the available options aren’t exactly cheap. Definitely plan to eat a solid breakfast before your day at the Pearl Harbor sites so you don’t have to visit all the spots throughout the day to stay energized.
My advice, and what I did during my visit, would be:
- Eat a solid breakfast before you go
- Visit the Visitor Center, USS Arizona, and Bowfin Museum
- Enjoy a good lunch at Restaurant 604
- Take the shuttle to Ford Island and finish your day at the Missouri and/or Aviation Museum (and take the Top of the Tower tour!)
For the hungry times in between, think about bringing a protein bar or other small snack with you to hold you over for a while.
If you use this post to plan out your meals while visiting Pearl Harbor, you can save time by:
- Remembering to make reservations at Restaurant 604 – At least call and put your name on the list about half an hour before you think you’ll make it there.
- Ordering online at the Hangar Café so you can skip the line – You can do this from the shuttle bus on your way over to Ford Island.
Here’s hoping you can enjoy your day visiting all the sites at Pearl Harbor without having to stress about where to eat. Aloha!
